Capturing both the tension and softness, the designers describe the chair as giving everyday furniture a spirituality the redefines our relationship objects and spaces. “Its dance-like lines are captured in life and tell the story of endless meaning.”

Modern Chinese Furniture Design

As a pair of chairs suitable for sitting, Stay Series expresses a high unity of comfort and beauty. The design team has aimed to capture beauty from the varied forms of human curves. According to the design team, the chair grows from the ground upwards, extends, converges, twists, pauses, supports… and creates. The flowing curves and the transitions of light on the chair reach a subtle shape.

To show the vitality of the chair, Stay Series minimizes the industrial feeling as much as possible, and the whole structure is handmade.

The mainframe is crafted from light-coloured premium maple. Unlike most modern furniture, almost no screw can be seen, again giving light to the form of human skin. The backrest and seat cushion are available in either leather or 100% wool.
