Chinese design team Fon Studio have completed the renovation of Well Well Well Hotel in Beijing.
The hotel is built around an impressive traditional courtyard with 13 guestrooms constructed over two floors. A staircase connects the lower and upper floors. Whilst keeping the traditional feel for the original building, the interior is sleek and modern, using wood, Terrazzo, steel, and glass.

The interior courtyard houses servers as the heart of the hotel, a place to read, relax, communicate. Colours are calming with deep reds and shades of greys. The building’s original wooden roof structure has been retained.
This visually important element adds to the richness of the property and provides a link to what was before.

The design brief required that the designers provide visitors with a clever deconstructed experience. From the alley in front of the hotel to the courtyard and then guestroom, it’s a journey that traces the age and growth of this beautiful old building
